Born in Pontiac, MI, Donna McKechnie is a celebrated dancer, singer, and actress known for her Tony-winning role as Cassie in A Chorus Line. She made her Broadway debut in 1961 and worked with notable figures like Bob Fosse and Michael Bennett. Despite an arthritis diagnosis in 1980, she returned to dance, earning the Fred Astaire Award in 1996. McKechnie has also appeared in Sweet Charity, Company, and State Fair, and has performed alongside legends like Carol Channing and Marilyn Horne.
