About Europe

Originally a Swedish progressive rock band named Force, Europe gained fame with pop-metal hits like "The Final Countdown." Key members include Joey Tempest and John Norum. They won a national talent contest, leading to a record deal. The band achieved international success with Top Ten singles in the U.S. and U.K. After evolving style and key lineup changes, they released hits like "Carrie" and "Prisoners in Paradise," before reuniting in 1999. Later albums, including Walk the Earth, showcase influences like Black Sabbath, produced by Dave Cobb.
