Fu Manchu formed in 1985 as Black Flag-influenced hardcore punk band Virulence. They later became stoner rock pioneers with a guitar-driven sound and carefree lyrics. Debut single “Kept Between Trees” (1990); 12 albums, including 2018’s Clone Of The Universe with Alex Lifeson.
