Gary Lewis & The Playboys, formed in Los Angeles, rose to fame in the 1960s with their pop-rock sound and "boy-next-door" image. Fronted by Gary Lewis, son of Jerry Lewis, they are known for hits like "This Diamond Ring" (a #1 single), "Count Me In," and "Save Your Heart for Me." They achieved seven consecutive Top 10 hits, eight gold singles, and four gold albums. Gary was Cash Box's 1965 Male Vocalist of the Year.
