Gaye Bykers on Acid, formed in Leicester in 1986, pioneered the "grebo" scene, merging rock and hip-hop. Known for their flamboyant style, hit EP "Everythang's Groovy," and alter egos like Lesbian Dopeheads on Mopeds, they signed with Virgin and released "Drill Your Own Hole." Despite mixed reviews and eventual disbandment, their innovation left a mark on '80s alternative rock. Members later joined projects like Pigface and G.R.O.W.T.H.
