Grievous Angels are a Canadian alternative country band formed in Toronto in 1986, led by singer-songwriter Charlie Angus. Known for their alt-roots sound, they gained national airplay for songs like "Gordie and My Old Man." Their album "One Job Town" was praised as the Canadian equivalent of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska. They received Juno nominations and an award for their interactive album "Waiting for the Cage." Their discography includes "Last Call for Cinderella" and "Revolution." The band is recognized for protest songs and themes of Northern Ontario life.
