Guantanamo Baywatch, from Portland, Oregon, blends surf, garage rock, and rockabilly, reminiscent of a wild Cramps beach party. Formed by Jason Powell and Chevelle Wiseman in 2009, the band earned a reputation for manic shows and greasy surf music. They signed with Dirtnap Records in 2011, releasing "Chest Crawl" in 2012, and later joined Suicide Squeeze Records for "Darling... It's Too Late" in 2015. Their 2017 album "Desert Center" featured new guitarist Jordan Owen, expanding their lineup.
