Guy Davis, born in NYC, is a prominent blues musician and actor known for updating rural blues. Son of Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee, he's acclaimed for theater and music. Influenced by Blind Willie McTell and Buddy Guy, his debut LP "Dreams About Life" was produced by Moses Asch. Notable works include Broadway's "Mulebone" and off-Broadway's "Robert Johnson." He's earned multiple W.C. Handy nominations. Davis collaborated with Taj Mahal and composed for PBS. Active in teaching and performing globally, his work spans albums like "Legacy" and "Kokomo Kid."
