Formed in St. Louis in the early ’70s, hard rock band Head East broke with 1975 debut Flat as a Pancake. Signed by A&M after “Never Been Any Reason”; the album went gold. Inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Music Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
