Howard Dwaine Dorough, known professionally as Howie D, is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who rose to global prominence as a founding member of the pop vocal group the Backstreet Boys. Formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993, the group became the best-selling boy band of all time, achieving massive success with multi-platinum albums like Millennium and hits such as "I Want It That Way." Beyond his work with the band, Dorough has pursued a solo music career, debuting with his 2011 pop and R&B album Back to Me, and has ventured into television acting, real estate, and philanthropy through the Dorough Lupus Foundation.
