Hum is an American alternative rock band from Champaign, Illinois, known for their 1995 hit "Stars". Their sound blends alternative metal, post-hardcore, shoegaze, and space rock. They released their album "Inlet" in 2020, their first new material in over two decades. Following the 2021 passing of drummer Bryan St. Pere, the band is currently touring with Jason Gerken on drums.
