John Papa Gros, a New Orleans native, is a celebrated pianist, organist, and vocalist. Known for his "signature gumbo" blending funk, R&B, rock, and blues, he champions the city's musical heritage. He led the popular group Papa Grows Funk and collaborated with legends like George Porter Jr. and Allen Toussaint. His albums include "Central City" and the 2026 release "Giants". Gros received the Best of the Beat's Best Keyboardist award.
