Born in Nebraska, Josh Rouse is a folk-pop singer/songwriter known for his introspective lyrics and diverse influences. Moving frequently in his youth, music was his constant companion. Rouse's acclaimed debut, *Dressed Up Like Nebraska* (1998), was followed by collaborations with Kurt Wagner of Lambchop and a series of albums reflecting his worldly experiences. After a pivotal move to Spain, his sound evolved from Spanish influences in *El Turista* (2010) to '80s synth-pop in *Love in the Modern Age* (2018). Notable for blending genres, he produces a rootsy indie rock vibe by 2022’s *Going Places*.
