Born in Germany, Kay Dörfel rose to fame with a crystal-clear voice. He was discovered by Heinz Häßner in 1982 and became a soloist in the Lilo Herrmann Choir. Singing "Kleine weiße Friedenstaube" brought him early success. He shifted to Schlager music with mentor Dieter Wilsdorf and released his first album "Hallo mein Engel" in 1996. Known for captivating live performances, he is also a sought-after moderator, celebrated for his engaging stage presence and numerous awards.
