About Kenji Sawada

Kenji Sawada, born in Tsunoi, Tottori Prefecture, is known as "the Japanese David Bowie" for his flamboyant style. He led Japan's first rock movement with The Tigers and later formed the supergroup PYG. His solo career boasts 46 albums and hits like "Toki No Sugiyuku Mama Ni." He starred in films, including Paul Schrader's "Mishima." His notable collaborations include songs by the Bee Gees and a project with the Wild Ones. Sawada continued to innovate musically and visually, maintaining a strong fan base throughout his career.
