Memphis modern soul singer Lacee (Lacy Yvonne Reed) began singing in church. Her 2006 debut album, Songstress, won the Jackson Music Awards’ International Female Vocalist of the Year. Later albums include Lacee’s Groove (2009), Soulful, Christmas with Lacee, and Beautiful.
