Liege Lord, formed in Camden, CT in 1982, released three acclaimed yet commercially overlooked heavy metal albums. Known for fantasy metal, they gained European fans, debuting with "Freedom's Rise" on Black Dragon. "Burn to My Touch," produced by Blue Öyster Cult's Joe Bouchard, showed progression. Despite lineup changes and the 1988 album "Master Control," they were overshadowed then found revival in Europe's power metal scene, reuniting for Germany's Wacken Festival in 2000.
