About Lobo

Born in Tallahassee, FL, singer/songwriter Roland Kent LaVoie, known as Lobo, is famous for soft-rock hits like "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo" and "I'd Love You to Want Me." He collaborated extensively with producer Phil Gernhard and bandmate Jim Stafford on tracks like "Spiders & Snakes." Lobo's albums include "Of a Simple Man" and "Calumet," with several chart-topping singles throughout the '70s. After forming Lobo Records, he eventually retired in 1985 but found renewed popularity in Asia with releases on Pony Canyon.
