Luna, an indie rock band originating from New York, formed in 1991 by singer/guitarist Dean Wareham, following his work with Galaxie 500. Known for their distinctive sound, the group released seven studio albums before a hiatus, reuniting in 2015. Notable works include the classic album Penthouse, with A Sentimental Education and the instrumental EP A Place of Greater Safety among their later releases.
