LYR is a British trio featuring UK Poet Laureate Simon Armitage, musician Richard Walters, and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Pearson. Formed in 2016, they create genre-splicing music blending spoken word, ambient post-rock, and contemporary classical pop. Known for poetic lyrics and evocative vocals, their albums include 'Call in the Crash Team', 'The Ultraviolet Age', and 'Dark Sky Reservation'. Richard Walters is a Grammy-nominated artist.
