Baltimore-born Mark Adams is a world-class jazz and soul pianist, educator, and author. Known for his "Fresh & New" souljazz sound, he served as musical director for Roy Ayers for over two decades. His albums include "Conversations" and "This Is Neo-Soul." Adams has collaborated with Ron Carter and Mary J. Blige, and penned "Basics," a music theory guide, while also teaching at York College.
