About Marko Hietala

Marko Hietala, born in Finland, is a renowned heavy metal bassist and vocalist, best known for his work with Nightwish. His solo album "Pyre of the Black Heart" showcases his exceptional talent in playing, composing, and writing. Influenced by his time with the band and following a sabbatical in 2017, Hietala finally dedicated himself to his long-awaited solo project.
