David Constantine Brooks, known as dancehall star Mavado, is a Jamaican deejay, singer and songwriter from Cassava Piece, Kingston. Mentored by Bounty Killer, he broke through with 2004’s “Real McKoy” and debuted in 2007 with VP Records’ Gangsta for Life.
