MAWIZA is a metal band from Wallmapu, ancestral Mapuche territory in South America. They fuse indigenous groove metal with traditional folk, singing entirely in Mapuzungun. Known for decolonizing heavy music and championing Mapuche culture, they won a Pulsar Award for "Kollong". Their album "ÜL" features collaborations with Gojira's Joe Duplantier.
