She's a National Geographic Explorer, TED Senior Fellow, globalFEST winner, and has worked with Kronos Quartet, Andrew Bird, and Pee Wee Ellis. Meklit co-founded the Nile Project and hosts the Movement podcast, sharing stories of music and migration worldwide.
