Menno Versteeg is a Canadian indie rock musician, singer-songwriter, and record label executive, best known as the frontman for the indie rock band Hollerado. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he spent two decades leading Hollerado, earning a Juno Award nomination for Recording Package of the Year in 2014 before the band went on hiatus in 2019. In 2009, Versteeg co-founded the prominent Canadian independent record label Royal Mountain Records, which has signed acclaimed acts like Alvvays, PUP, and Mac DeMarco, and gained widespread attention for introducing a pioneering mental health fund to support touring musicians. He is also a member of the Canadian indie rock supergroup Anyway Gang, alongside members of Tokyo Police Club, Sloan, and Sam Roberts Band. As a solo artist, Versteeg initially released music under the pseudonym Mav Karlo, including the 2020 album Strangers Like Us, before releasing his debut solo album under his own name, Why We Run, in late 2024. In his personal life, he is married to actress Annie Murphy, with whom he co-wrote the hit song A Little Bit Alexis for the television series Schitt's Creek.
