New Zealand's Mi-Sex, led by cabaret singer Steve Gilpin, rose to fame in the new wave scene. Their hit "Computer Games" topped Australian charts. Initially an art-rock band, they moved to Australia and found success with their album "Graffiti Crimes." Known for their laser light shows, they disbanded in 1984 after hits like "Castaway" and "Blue Day." Gilpin passed away in 1991.
