Michael Doucet, born in Scott, Louisiana, is a key figure in the Cajun music revival. Leading BeauSoleil, he blends Cajun, blues, rock, and country, earning Grammy wins for "L'Amour Ou La Folie" and "Live at the 2008 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival." Doucet, a skilled fiddler, received a National Heritage Fellowship in 2005 and collaborated with Smithsonian Folkways and Yep Roc.
