Michael English, born in Kenansville, NC, rose to fame as Gaither Vocal Band's lead singer, popularizing modern Southern gospel and CCM. Winning four Dove Awards in 1994, he also scored a Top 10 hit with "Your Love Amazes Me." Known for his comeback to gospel with "Gospel" in 1998, he collaborated with Wynonna Judd and produced records for the Gaither Vocal Band.
