North Carolina-born Southern gospel/CCM singer. Led the Gaither Vocal Band in the late ’80s and launched a solo career with Michael English (1991) and Hope (1993), winning four 1994 Dove Awards. Had a 1996 pop crossover hit with “Your Love Amazes Me.”
