My Life Story, formed in Southend in 1984, is known for pioneering orchestral Britpop. The band achieved six UK top 40 singles and collaborated with Morrissey and Marc Almond. Their 1996 album "The Golden Mile" featured hits like "12 Reasons Why I Love Her." After headlining over Oasis and playing Glastonbury, they released the acclaimed fan-funded album "World Citizen" in 2019.
