Neil deGrasse Tyson, born in New York City, is an astrophysicist and acclaimed science communicator. Director of the Hayden Planetarium, he popularizes science through shows like "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" and "StarTalk," and books such as "Astrophysics for People in a Hurry." He received the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, and asteroid 13123 Tyson bears his name. He also has music collaborations.
