Formed in Boston in 1978, R&B group New Edition pioneered teen pop and helped shape new jack swing. Known for hits like Candy Girl, Cool It Now, and Can You Stand the Rain, the group launched successful solo careers and spin-off acts like Bell Biv DeVoe before reuniting for the chart-topping 1996 album Home Again.
