The Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) is a Canadian symphony orchestra based in Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1934 by Antonia Nantel, Wilfrid Pelletier, and Athanase David, it is internationally recognized as one of the finest orchestras in the world and serves as an essential cultural ambassador for Quebec and Canada. Currently under the direction of Venezuelan conductor Rafael Payare, the OSM features innovative programming, a history of extensive world tours, and a discography of more than a hundred recordings that have won dozens of national and international awards.
