About Oysterband

From Kent, England, Oysterband, originally a ceilidh dance band, evolved into a UK roots music icon in the '80s and '90s by blending punk, alt-rock, folk, and traditional tunes. Known for 'Freedom and Rain' with June Tabor, they've won multiple BBC Folk Awards and evolved across decades, preserving their D.I.Y. ethos and notable collaborations, especially with Tabor.
