Duranguense pioneers Patrulla 81 formed in Durango in 1981, using a budget-friendly melodeon for their signature sound. Their hit Tu Mirada sparked international touring and their debut album No Aprendi a Olvidar. In 2004, their live album reached number four on Billboard charts.
