About Regina Spektor

Born in the Soviet Union, Regina Spektor moved to NYC in 1989, continued her classical piano training, and studied composition at SUNY Purchase. Known for jazz and blues-influenced pop, her breakthrough came with the gold-certified "Begin to Hope" in 2006, featuring hits like "Fidelity." Albums "Far" and "What We Saw From the Cheap Seats" both debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Spektor's music appears in shows like "Orange Is The New Black" and films like "(500) Days of Summer." She performed for the Obamas and supports various charities.
