Rubella Ballet, formed in England in 1979, was a vibrant anarchist punk and gothic rock band known for their Day-Glo outfits and dynamic light shows. Founders included Pete Fender, Gem Stone, Sid Attion, and Zillah Minx, with Minx later leading vocals. The band blended synthesizers with punk's DIY ethos, releasing music on Ubiquitous Records. Popular works include "Ballet Bag" and "Ballet Dance," hitting the UK Indie charts. They toured extensively, playing with bands like Faith No More and the Dead Kennedys. Their discography was compiled in releases by Overground Records in the late 2000s.
