About Sam Amidon

Sam Amidon, born in Brattleboro, Vermont, is a folk musician known for his atmospheric arrangements on guitar, fiddle, and banjo. Celebrated for albums like 2007's "All Is Well" and 2017's experimental "The Following Mountain," Amidon often collaborates with jazz veterans and has worked with artists like Bill Frisell. Notable for reworking folk standards and his original compositions, he is married to Beth Orton.
