Die Schürzenjäger (formerly Die Zillertaler Schürzenjäger) are one of Austria's most commercially successful and influential Alpenrock (Alpine rock) and Volksmusik bands. Founded in 1973 in the Zillertal valley of Tyrol by Peter Steinlechner and Alfred Eberharter, they revolutionized traditional Austrian folk music by blending it with modern rock instruments, electric guitars, and pop sensibilities.
