Simon Joyner, born in Omaha, NE, is an influential singer/songwriter noted for delicate, mournful songs since the early '90s. Respected by Conor Oberst and Beck, he collaborated with Wilco, Lambchop, and Dirty Three members. His albums include Ghosts (2012), Pocket Moon (2019), and Songs from a Stolen Guitar (2022). Known for his independence, Joyner's music often explores themes of isolation and grief, further evident in the 2024 album Coyote Butterfly. His work has been highlighted by legendary DJ John Peel.
