Jason Pierce, aka J. Spaceman, formed Spiritualized after Spacemen 3's split, creating lush, orchestral psychedelic rock. Known for "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space," Pierce's influences range from Velvet Underground to Brian Wilson. Collaborations include Dr. John and the London Community Gospel Choir. Spiritualized achieved success with the albums "Let It Come Down" and "Sweet Heart, Sweet Light," maintaining a unique blend of gospel, blues, and orchestral pop.
