Cleveland-born drummer Steven Adler was the original Guns N' Roses drummer, self-taught and inspired by Kiss and Aerosmith. After forming Road Crew with Slash, he joined G N' R and played on the 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction and 1989’s Lies.
