Formed in Petion-Ville, Port-au-Prince, by brothers Albert (bass) and Adolphe Chancy (guitar), Tabou Combo is a Haitian compas band. They moved to Brooklyn in 1971; their song New York City hit #1 on Paris pop charts in Aug. 1975.
