Detroit's Gories, formed in 1986, redefined garage punk with raw, soulful tracks influenced by Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker. Known for hits like "Houserockin'," and albums like "Outta Here," they worked with producer Alex Chilton. Reunited in 2009, their live 1988 recordings were released by Jack White's label.
