Missouri's progressive bluegrass quintet The Hillbenders gained fame with their unique "Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry." Known for expert instrumentation and blending rock-country with bluegrass, they won the 2009 Telluride Bluegrass and 2010 National Single Microphone Competitions.
