The Publics are a British indie rock band from Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, formed by singer-guitarist Josh Porter and lead guitarist Elliot Stephenson. Known for their energetic live shows, punchy riffs, and stadium-ready choruses, the group has supported prominent acts like The Reytons and Hard-Fi. Following a series of successful independent singles, they released their debut EP, I Know the World Stopped, but Why Did You?, in 2024, followed by their 2025 EP The Tide, establishing themselves as a prominent rising act in the UK indie scene.
