The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American rock supergroup formed in Los Angeles in 1988, consisting of music legends George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty. Initially uniting by chance to record a B-side track titled "Handle with Care," the group enjoyed an ego-free, playful collaboration and went on to release their critically and commercially acclaimed debut album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1, in October 1988. Following Orbison's tragic death later that year, the remaining members continued as a quartet, releasing their final studio album, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3, in 1990.
