Genre: Latin, Bolero
Trio Los Panchos, formed in New York City in 1944 by Mexican and Puerto Rican musicians, revolutionized the bolero genre. Known for harmonious vocals and the distinctive requinto guitar, they became leading exponents of romantic Latin American music. They sold hundreds of millions of records, appeared in over 50 films, and popularized songs like "Bésame Mucho" and "Sabor a Mí." Their legacy as one of the most influential trios endures.
