Uncle Mingo, a funk-punk band from Charleston, SC, blends Red Hot Chili Peppers' energy with prog-rock jams. Known for "Fatty Mookie Mo' Booty," they gained fame in the Southeast. Their third album, "Little Baby Brother," featured James Brown's horn section. They later signed with Autonomous Records.
