Vanilla Fudge, formed in 1965 Long Island, are renowned for heavy, psychedelic covers, notably "You Keep Me Hangin' On." They toured with Hendrix, Cream, and Zeppelin. Featuring Mark Stein, Tim Bogert, and Carmine Appice, the band influenced heavy metal. Despite disbanding in 1970, they reunited for various projects and tours.
